What is IRTS?
The IRTS Foundation is a charitable 501(c)(3) organization with a membership that ranges from the most accomplished professionals in the media and entertainment industry to those who are just beginning their careers. IRTS is a place where people care and share, where competitive barriers and corporate hierarchy give way to a common forum, so that the best our industry has to offer can be learned and exchanged.
The mission of IRTS is to BUILD FUTURE MEDIA LEADERS via ACCESS...EDUCATION...DIVERSITY.
We bring together the wisdom and power of today's leaders and the promise of tomorrow's young industry professionals. IRTS believes education is a life-long process that is best achieved through first-hand knowledge. While we offer a variety of programs (some of which are complimentary to members) and events that you will find to be of personal value, members take special pride in knowing that their membership donation helps to ensure the success of our long-applauded academic outreach programs such as the Summer Fellowships, Multicultural Career Workshop, and Faculty Seminars.

What Media Industry Sectors Does IRTS Represent?
IRTS represents all aspects of the media and advertising business. From a content distribution standpoint, this includes radio, broadcast television, cable, direct broadcast satellite, Internet, mobile, motion picture theaters, pay television, pay-per-view, publishing, and evolving forms of media. Professionals from a variety of disciplines within these areas comprise IRTS Membership. These individuals represent all levels of professional development, ranging from those just entering the business to CEO's and everyone in between.

We accept membership applications from Industry Professionals, Faculty, Students, and Members of the Public who has an affinity for a business that entertains, informs, educates, and serves the American public in a meaningful way.
